Graduate Student Senate is very exctied to bring you our new home on the web! We have been extremely fortunate to work with Matt Arant of the Graduate College during the development of this site. The new site brings you more than an updated look and feel! This site is run using Drupal - a database-driven content managment system. Here are some highlights about the site:

At the September 3, 2008 GSS meeting, we will be electing a few different GSS positions. These are great opportunities to take your leadership skills and desire to serve the graduate population to the next level at UI. If you are interested in the positions below, consider having a nomination sent in advance to the GSS President, Tim Paschkewitz (self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged). Only GSS Senators and Alternates may be elected to the following positions:

At the September 3rd, 2008 GSS meeting, we will also finalize a list of graduate students to recommend to ECGPS and SABAC. These are also great leadership positions and are open to GSS Senators and Alternates as well as non-GSS University of Iowa graduate students. The final appointment is made by ECGPS at a time and manner of their choosing, but it would be beneficial collect interest as soon as possible. These positions are:
