The James F. Jakobsen Conference

The Jakobsen Conference is a truly exciting event and is unique to both The University of Iowa and to other Big 10 Schools. Graduate Student Senate, in co-sponsorship with the Graduate College, organizes a campus-wide research/graduate work conference. Students can compete for cash awards generously donated by the family of former Graduate College Dean, James F. Jakobsen. It's very challenging to organize a conference in which physical scientists present at the same time and fine arts performers, however that is what makes this event unique! We will continue to upload pictures as they are unearthed from various chairs of the past. Enjoy!
