ITS - Research Services hosts a two-day intensive workshop on Parallel Computing with Message Passing Interface (MPI), which will be led by experts from the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and held in a training room equipped with two-way video communication between participants and the instructor.
Please note that all participants must attend in person at the hosting location, as there will be no option for individual remote participation via video call (e.g., Zoom). ITS-RS staff will assist participants with any technical issues and exercises throughout the workshop.
This workshop will cover topics from introductory to advanced levels of code parallelization using MPI, offering valuable insights into high-performance computing and enhancing computational research projects.
For hands-on exercises, all participants must have an ACCESS ID and will receive temporary access to the supercomputing facility at PSC, Bridges-2. If you do not have an ACCESS account, please create one before registration. (see the registration page for details).
Prior coding and Linux experiences are helpful but not critical to attend this workshop. Please bring your laptop and charging cable to stay connected during the workshop.
Due to the space limitation, we can only offer 20 seats for this event.
Note that the workshop will begin at 10 a.m. (CT) while it is listed in Eastern Time on the registration site below.
