Call for Artwork
Graduate Student Senate (GSS) is also seeking artwork submissions for the conference. We would like to feature a student painting, photograph, or drawing on the cover of our conference brochure.
Any student enrolled in any department or college at the University of Iowa is eligible to submit artwork for consideration. The theme for this year’s conference is “Pioneering Possibilities”. This should be a central theme in the submitted artwork. The submissions may be an existing work, a new work, or a conceptual piece, and should be a two-dimensional work that can be formatted to fit on posters and brochures.
If your artwork is selected, we will contact you about specific sizing and resolution requirements. While we are not able to purchase artwork, there is a monetary award of $500 for the selected artist. Runners up will also receive awards of $300 and $200 for their submissions. Additionally, we can provide the selected artist with significant promotion and advertising benefits including the promotion of artwork, artist’s biograph & contact information, and a link on our website until the end of the conference.
To submit your artwork, please email the following items to john-stevenson@uiowa.edu with the subject line headline “Jakobsen Conference Art Submission”
